Taylor Swift is a singer, songwriter, and actress from Reading, Pennsylvania. After she signed with Big Machine Records at the age of 14, Taylor released her self-titled debut album in 2006. The album was a critical and commercial success, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and selling more than five million copies in the United States. Taylor’s second album, Fearless, was released in 2008 and became the best-selling album of 2009 in the US. It earned Taylor four Grammy Awards, including the Album of the Year award. Taylor’s third album, Speak Now, was released in 2010 and sold more than one million copies in its first week. Her fourth album, Red, was released in 2012 and her fifth album, 1989, was released in 2014.
Taylor has won 10 Grammy Awards and is one of the world’s best-selling music artists of all time. Taylor has also appeared in films such as The Giver (2014) and Valentine’s Day (2010). She is currently working on her sixth studio album.
